Home Inspections:

Inside Out Home Inspections strives to serve the needs of home buyers and sellers throughout the Twin Cities and its suburbs.  We provide a home inspection for people who want to make sure the house they are interested in purchasing will turn into the home they have always dreamed of owning.

Our home buying clients receive peace of mind that the home they’re purchasing has been inspected to the high standards of the International Association of Home Inspectors (InterNACHI).  Our clients selling their home can use our pre-sales inspection report to prepare their home for selling and can shorten the time it remains on the market.  Our inspection report is detailed, easy to understand and highlights any problem areas which may need to be carefully reviewed.  We are flexible with our scheduling to meet the busy life styles of our Minnesota residents.

Radon Testing:

Radon Testing is important.  Minnesota is known for high radon levels.  Radon is a major cause of lung cancer, second only to smoking.  We offer 48-hour radon testing with state-of-the-art Sun Nuclear Radon Sentinel 1030 monitors.  Results are available immediately after the test and are presented in a clear graph showing the radon level plotted every 30 minutes for the entire testing period.

The following are the percentage of homes by county with radon levels at or above 4 pCi/L.  This was determined by radon test results from Air Chek, Inc.  Information provided by the Minnesota Department of Health.

Anoka 18.3%

Carver 44.3%

Dakota 41.7%

Hennepin 42.7%

Ramsey 32.3%

Scott 48.7%

Washington 35.8%

Wright 53.7%

Thermal Imaging:

Thermal imaging is utilized for the detection of moisture intrusion, insulation defects, weatherization deficiencies and potential electrical hazards.  It can tell you where heat or cold is escaping from or infiltrating into your home due to insufficient levels of insulation or inefficient windows or doors.  Thermal Imaging can also tell you if floor heaters, which may be installed, are working properly.  It is also a valuable tool for the detection of hidden water infiltration and plumbing leaks.

Hard Water Testing:

Inside Out Home Inspections can test your water to determine how hard it is. This test can tell you how effectively your water softener is performing, or if you don’t have one, it can tell you if you would benefit from getting a water softener installed.
